Problem
The master bathroom consisted of builder grade cabinetry that was too low, a tub that wasn't being used, an open WC, and outdated mirrors and lighting.
Solution
The bathroom was completely gutted. The homeowner's originally wanted a seamless entry into the shower but the foundation would have had to be ground to a slope. They opted out of the larger expense and decided on adding a curb. I selected a tuscan inspired floor tile with classic white subway for a modern farmhouse feel. The shower was kept open with just half of it being enclosed with a large piece of glass; omitting the need for a door. The large vanity was replaced with 2 individual vintage style vanities in a warm wood adding depth and character. Plain white quartz counters were added for a hint of modern. The WC was enclosed for more privacy. An extra large medicine cabinet was added between the vanities for extra storage, and in a high gloss white for modernity. We then added some contrast in fixtures with a brushed nickel faucet/shower head, and black mirrors and lighting. The guest bathroom was also renovated using the same materials to keep a cohesive look throughout.
